By creating an account or using any service on iPay NG, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of iPay NG ("the Platform"). By registering an account or initiating any transaction, you confirm that:
You are at least 18 years of age
You are a resident of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
You have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms
All information you provide is accurate and truthful
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of the Platform.
2. Our Services
iPay NG is a CAC-registered Nigerian digital payments platform. We provide the following services, subject to availability:
Airtime top-up — MTN, Glo, Airtel, and 9mobile for any Nigerian number
Data bundles — all plans across all four major networks
Electricity bills — prepaid tokens for all major DISCOs (AEDC, EKEDC, IBEDC, PHED, JED, IKEDC, KEDCO, BEDC, EEDC)
Cable TV subscriptions — DStv, GOtv, Startimes, and Showmax renewals
Exam PINs — WAEC, JAMB, and other examination scratch cards
Bulk SMS — send personalised messages to multiple recipients
Gift cards — Amazon, iTunes, Steam, Google Play, Xbox, and Netflix
Wallet transfer — send funds to other iPay NG users instantly
Airtime-to-cash conversion — swap excess airtime for wallet credit
Cashback withdrawal — transfer your earned bonus balance to your main wallet
All services are subject to availability and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at our discretion with reasonable notice.
3. Account Registration & Security
You must provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and transaction PIN
You must not share your account credentials with any other person
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
You must notify us immediately at [email protected] or via WhatsApp if you suspect any unauthorised access
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account we reasonably believe has been compromised or is being used fraudulently.
4. Wallet Funding & Balances
Your iPay NG wallet is a prepaid digital wallet used exclusively for purchasing services on the Platform. The following conditions apply:
Your wallet has two distinct balances: a main wallet (funded by you) and a bonus balance (earned through cashback and referrals)
Main wallet funds may not be transferred to third parties or withdrawn to external bank accounts
The bonus balance may be withdrawn to your main wallet at any time, free of charge, and with no minimum threshold
Minimum and maximum funding limits may apply as communicated on the Platform
Wallet balances carry no interest and are not insured financial deposits
In the event of account closure, remaining main wallet balances will be processed per our refund procedure
5. Cashback & Bonus Programme
iPay NG awards a cashback reward on every eligible transaction. The following terms apply:
The current cashback rate is 3% of the transaction value, credited instantly to your bonus balance upon successful transaction completion
Cashback is awarded on airtime, data, electricity, cable TV, and other qualifying transactions as determined by us from time to time
Your bonus balance may be transferred to your main wallet at any time with no fees or minimum amount
When purchasing any service, you may apply your bonus balance to offset part of the transaction cost, reducing the amount charged from your main wallet
Cashback earned through fraudulent activity, chargebacks, or reversed transactions will be forfeited
We reserve the right to modify the cashback rate or eligible categories at any time with at least 7 days' notice
6. Transaction Policy
By initiating a transaction, you confirm that you have reviewed and authorised the details, including the recipient, amount, and service type.
Successful transactions are generally final and non-refundable once delivered
Failed transactions where your balance was debited will be investigated and resolved within 24 hours — contact support with your transaction ID and details
We are not liable for losses arising from you entering incorrect recipient details (e.g., wrong phone number, meter number, or decoder number)
Electricity tokens are generated by the relevant DISCO. Delays beyond 5 minutes should be reported to support with your meter number and transaction ID
7. Referral Programme
Where a referral programme is active, rewards are credited only when a referred user completes their first qualifying transaction. We reserve the right to modify or terminate the referral programme at any time. Referral bonuses obtained fraudulently (e.g., self-referrals, duplicate accounts) will be reversed and the accounts involved may be suspended.
8. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to use the Platform for any of the following:
Fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal purposes of any kind
Funding your wallet with stolen, cloned, or unauthorised payment methods
Attempting to manipulate your wallet balance, transaction history, cashback credits, or referral earnings
Reverse-engineering, scraping, or exploiting any part of the Platform's code or APIs
Impersonating another user or creating multiple accounts to abuse promotions or cashback rewards
Using automated bots or scripts to interact with the Platform
Facilitating money laundering or financing illegal activity through the Platform
Violation of this section may result in immediate account suspension, forfeiture of all wallet balances (main and bonus), and referral to appropriate law enforcement agencies.
9. Service Availability
We make every effort to maintain 99%+ platform uptime. However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance, network provider downtime, or force majeure events (including but not limited to power outages, natural disasters, or government-imposed restrictions) may temporarily affect availability. We are not liable for losses arising from such interruptions.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform — including but not limited to the name "iPay NG", logos, design, code, and documentation — is owned by or licensed to us. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our express written consent.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, iPay NG shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount of the transaction in question.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold iPay NG harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or damage (including legal fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Platform.
13. Amendments
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you via email and/or an in-app notice at least 7 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes that cannot be resolved through our support team shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Nigeria.
